Contents

Targeted platforms

This documentation targets MAC OS X and above

Requirements

 /Applications/MPlayer OSX.app/Contents/Resources/External_Binaries/mplayer_intel.app/Contents/MacOS/mplayer

directory for intel OSX and

/Applications/MPlayer OSX PPC.app/Contents/Resources/External_Binaries/mplayer_ppc.app/Contents/MacOS/mplayer

for PowerPC OSX (default location for OS X applications).

If you get warning message and mplayer is installed elsewhere, change the path in the Preferences view / advanced tab / "MPlayer path" field

Installation using the Java installer

  1. Double-click on the downloaded file (jajuk-java-installer-${version}.jar). If nothing appends, it means .jar extension is not mapped to the java program. Then, you can map it (open with...) or launch it by typing in a console:
java -jar jajuk-java-installer-${version}.jar
  1. Select your language for installation
  2. Read carefully the provided README file
  3. Read and accept GPL license.
  4. Select installation target
  5. Create shortcuts

Run

  • Click on created shortcuts
  • Or launch from console using sh ${jajuk installation path}/jajuk.sh

Upgrade

If you already have an installed Jajuk release:

  • It is safe to install the new release over previous one without uninstalling, Jajuk supports backwards compatibility. Your collection and configuration is kept and is stored under {your home directory}/.jajuk
  • Jajuk doesn't support downwards compatibility: A Jajuk release may not work with a collection built by a newer release than the one you use.

Uninstallation

  • If you used the Java Installer, launch created uninstaller from menu
